The three of us walked Linda to her car, and then we continued walking across the parking lot to the crosswalk. We took our time walking the block and a half to Nurse Hamilton's house, enjoying the beautiful afternoon. She turned to us when we reached her front lawn.
"You know," she said thoughtfully, "It is such a nice day. Josh, do you think we could go to your house and soak in your pool? We won't have too many more days like this, and I have been thinking about it ever since you mentioned it."
"Sure," I replied immediately. "I can jog over and get my car. I'll be right back."
