When Alpha Luca said it was hidden inside a cave opening, part of me thought he was exaggerating to get out of going. Or perhaps it was something like a cave, but— anyway, it doesn’t matter. What matters is that we were all standing outside this massive cave opening, hidden in a tucked-away space in a mountain. We don’t have mountains in the Fisher Brooks pack, and although you can see one in the distance from the Cherry Ridge pack grounds, I have never seen a mountain up close in person. I have to admit, it was both beautiful and intimidating.
