The reporter's expression was priceless.
I hadn't expected Lucian to pull such a stunt during what should have been a straightforward interview. I wanted to glare at him, but with the reporter still present, I could only hold my tongue.
The reporter masked her awkwardness with a smile. "...Dr. Carter's excellence is undeniable, and I'm sure Mrs. Storm must be equally exceptional. Alpha Storm, how did your romance with your mate begin?"
Lucian gazed out the window at the brilliant blue sky, as if recalling fond memories, a smile playing at the corners of his lips. "She saved my grandfather—a debt our pack will forever honor. And from the moment I first saw her, I just knew she was my destined mate."
