“I told you not to say anything!” Hailey scolded Kalea.
“But she’s being such a b*tch to you!” Kalea retorted.
“I have all but a week left in training. Then I can go back to Kurt and be your Lady’s maid for a year like we agreed. Don’t go making waves, Kay!”
“Do you honestly think you’re going to pass when she’s constantly sabotaging your progress at every turn?”
“Maddie has the final say, anyway. It doesn’t matter what Irina reports. Maddie and Rose know I’m doing well, and all of the other trainees know I’m doing well. Irina’s personal opinion has no merit. Stop being such a worry wart.”
“I still don’t get why you don’t just put her in her place. It’s not like she can beat you in anything,” Kalea muttered.
