  DONOVAN'S POV   I made it to the headmaster's office just as Amanda was about to go in.   "Wait," I said, catching her arm. "I'm coming with you."   She pulled away like I'd burned her. Her eyes were red-rimmed, her jaw tight.   "Don't bother playing the hero," she said quietly. "We both know you're not."   "Amanda—"   "If you hadn't forced me to do what you did in that supply closet, none of this would have happened." Her voice cracked, but she didn't look away. "She wouldn't have that video. I wouldn't be here right now. So don't pretend you're on my side."   I opened my mouth to respond—to tell her she was wrong, that I hadn't known about the video, that I would never—   But the door opened, and a secretary poked her head out.   "Amanda Porter?
