"What? Wolfe Industries got that land?" Alpha Enzo's face went dark when his assistant told him the news.
He immediately sent a mindlink to his mate. "Nadia, did you talk to Elara like I asked?"
Nadia's response came back shaky through their bond. "What's wrong, Enzo? Did something happen?"
Alpha Enzo's anger pulsed through the mindlink. "Dominic took the land we wanted today! I already made a deal with the Sterling family. But they told me it was off the table. When I asked why, they said it was because of Dominic!"
Nadia thought about slapping her stepdaughter yesterday.
