Alpha Enzo waited from morning till evening. Almost everyone at Wolfe Industries had left for the day.
He looked at Dominic's assistant one more time. His face showed he was getting frustrated. "Do you know if Alpha Dominic is free yet?"
The assistant checked his watch. It was nearly eight o'clock. He tried to look surprised, but Alpha Enzo could tell it was fake.
"Wow, eight already? Let me check again," he said politely.
Alpha Enzo watched the assistant knock on Dominic's office door and slip inside.
This time he stayed in there longer than usual. Alpha Enzo could hear quiet voices but couldn't make out the words.
The assistant came back with a different expression on his face. He looked relieved.
"Alpha Dominic is free now. You can go in," the assistant
