Hayes was the first to react. “Serena?” Camille nodded slowly. “I could get a confession from Serena because she talks too much.” She looked down briefly before continuing. “She says things without realizing it. Especially when she’s angry or trying to put me down.” I saw it forming as she spoke. Serena's ego was the bait. Camille looked up. “If I meet with her, she’ll say something. She always has something bad to say to me.” Pierce leaned forward immediately. “So we make you meet her and record the conversation.” Ford nodded once. “That’s actually not a bad idea.” Hayes remained quiet. Thinking. Finally, he looked at Camille. “For this to work, we need more than insults.” The garden fell silent. Hayes continued. “We don’t need Serena admitting she’s a terrible person.”
