Elena frowned. "Haven't you divorced Aria?"
Massimo huffed, clearly annoyed. "I am not married to that woman," he spat out.
Elena was surprised that Massimo clearly disliked—if not hated—Aria. She knew they had broken up, but apparently the break up was messy. Elena made a mental note to mention her best friend in her boss's presence again.
Massimo frowned and started to leave the seating room, leaving Elena and Luca to scramble after him. As they entered the hallway, Massimo huffed again.
Elena shared a look with Luca. It was clear that the meeting had left a bitter taste in Massimo's mouth—his expression certainly looked like he had bitten into a lemon.
Lucky for Elena, it was Luca's job to talk to Massimo about upcoming plans—not Elena's.
