Elena helped out with work around the Ferraro estate, but Massimo didn't change his tune. He didn't mention any details from his discussion with Tyler Morello—even after all of Elena's subtle and overt pressing and prodding. If Elena hadn't been eavesdropping, her curiosity would be killing her.
As it was, Elena didn't give up. She dropped hints about the last time they had worked together at the Ferraro's black tie event.
"We make a great team, don't you think?" Elena asked.
"I suppose we do," Massimo replied neutrally.
"I've gotten much better at spotting danger, I think. Luca gave me some tips on finding hidden guns before they're drawn," Elena said.
"That's a good skill to have." Massimo didn't even look at her as he filed some paperwork.
