United, Massimo and Elena worked quickly to be ready by Tyler's cruise. Being given less than a week's notice was difficult. Luckily, Massimo had plenty of subordinates that they could direct.
Elena couldn't stop thinking about the looming deadline though. Tyler must've known how disrespectful it was to invite the Don of All Dons to a big event last minute. But more than the lack of manners, Elena suspected Tyler had done this to prevent Massimo from figuring out his ultimate scheme.
"Do you have any idea what he might have told the other dons?" Elena asked.
But Massimo could only shake his head. "For all we know, he could have told the dons nothing—perhaps he wants me to look incompetent, turning an innocent get-together into a serious meeting."
