"I need to see the hallway footage from ten minutes ago," she said coldly. The guard obliged. On the grainy screen, Sienna watched Jasper running. He looked desperate. Broken. He was sprinting as if his life depended on catching Aurora. Ice filled her veins. He still cared. He cared too much. She stared at the screen, her nails digging into her palms. Thank god the baby was already gone. If that child existed, she would never win him. (Aurora's POV) I woke up to the smell of antiseptic masked by expensive room diffusers. I blinked, disoriented. I wasn't in the hospital hallway. I was in a suite that looked more like a five-star hotel room. "You're awake." I turned my head.
