Jasper strode into his top-floor office at Aether Life Sciences. His face was a mask of thunderous gloom.
He stared at the document Ethan held out.
"Let me see it," Jasper commanded.
Ethan's hand trembled slightly as he passed the thick legal file across the mahogany desk. "Sir, please take a look."
Jasper snatched the papers. His knuckles turned white as he gripped the edges. His gaze swept down the page and locked onto the plaintiff's name.
*Aurora.*
His breath hitched. The air in the room seemed to freeze.
"What does Legal say?" Jasper's voice was ice-cold. "She is still an employee of this company. How can she sue us for patent infringement?"
