Aiden and I finally got to where my mum was kept. Dimitri was already waiting for us at the front door.
“Are you sure you’re ready to see her?” Dimitri asked me as we approached him.
There was no point wasting any more time. “Yes, I am,” I said and he nodded his head. He opened the door and led me inside the room. Aiden walked behind us.
The place was dark, so I couldn’t see her clearly when I got in. Dimitri switched on the lights and I paused when I saw my mother.
She was beautiful and she looked younger than I had imagined. I looked a lot like her. We could pass as twins if we were in the same age range.
The only significant difference was the color of her hair. She had short blonde hair while I was red-haired.
