I was glad Mikey invited Olivia over to spend time with me today. I don’t know if it’s reality hitting me, but I was relieved not to be alone with my thoughts.
After returning from walking Rocky, Olivia settled her daughter in the living room with some kids' show. Then, she and I headed into the kitchen.
“Kinda early for wine,” Olivia remarked as she opened Mikey’s refrigerator.
“Not in France! Besides, isn’t the saying ‘it’s five o’clock somewhere’?” I replied.
“True, but I’m not really feeling like wine at ten in the morning. Lord, does the man not even have ice cream?” she said, rummaging through Mikey’s freezer.
“That’s breakup food,” I told her.
“Yeah, but it can also be ‘let’s b***h about stuff’ food,” she said, shutting the freezer.
