Handle the news well? What does that even mean? I'm just so confused right now about what my mother is trying to say.
I know I was just a little girl when I was sick, and I also know my mother was hardly there for me, so her saying she was present is definitely perplexing.
I can’t tell if my mother is just saying things to soothe her own conscience or if there’s any truth to it. Nothing ever makes sense with her.
