I wake up Wednesday morning still in Adrian’s bed.
He’s already awake, watching me.
“Morning,” he says softly.
“How long have you been awake?”
“A while. You talk in your sleep.”
“I do not.”
“You do. Something about fabric samples and revenge.”
Despite everything, I laugh.
His phone buzzes. He frowns.
“Your brother just texted me.”
I sit up. “Leo? How does he have your number?”
“Apparently Mia gave it to him.” Adrian shows me. “Dinner tonight. My place. Seven PM. Be there or I’m showing up at your office.”
I check my phone. Five texts from Leo.
Leo: “We need to talk. About Adrian.”
Leo: “Dinner. Tonight. Bring him.”
Leo: “This isn’t optional.”
“He’s persistent,” Adrian observes.
“He’s Leo.”
“I’m coming.”
