Raven’s POV
Liam hesitated for a fraction of a second, but when he realized what was coming, his arm was around me in a matter of a second. Swooping my feet right off the ground, he didn’t even give me the chance to protest, before he took off into a mad sprint shockingly towards my grandfather’s estate.
Looking over Liam’s shoulder, I watched as Chase just stood there, waiting for the swarm of rogues to make their way to him, as I felt like we were cowardly running away, leaving him to stand alone. Even though just a moment ago I wanted to kill him with my own bare hands, I couldn’t leave him here to die alone, because the truth was, I still loved him.
