It felt like the world paused as complete silence took over, and while I sat there waiting for death to take me, holding my breath with warm tears pouring down my cheeks, my heart that was once beating out of my chest, was now barely noticeable. For a moment, I thought that just maybe I was dying from a heart attack, and that God was taking mercy on me. There was no doubt in my mind that this death would be a hell of a lot better than the alternative, but as the seconds passed by, death never came for me.
