Whatever was outside was going to have to do some work to get to me, leaving me time to find a form of protection, or at least that was what I had thought. As I crawled gingerly around, looking for my makeshift stake, the surrounding foliage continued to giveaway, falling in faster than I would have expected it to.
The ground was quickly becoming covered in broken foliage, making me realize that it wasn’t going to hold much longer, as whatever was on the outside wanted in badly. Desperation once again consumed me as my hands felt around frantically for the stake, knowing that at any moment I would be coming face to face with the beast trying to get in.
