This hurt Cora and Demetri more than it hurt me, but seeing them so raw with emotion was deeply painful, and I struggled to find the right words to comfort them.

You can't change the past, it is what it is. There's a lot in my past I would love to change, Oddball being one of them, and my own parents the other, but if we change the past, then we change who we are, because through adversity comes strength and wisdom.
