Cora (Dollar) POV
We sat and listened as Demetri and Ruby discussed their plans; to me, it was all their wants and needs, and they never once asked what we wanted. Just like naming their child Dianne after my mother- who do they think they are? Dad abandoned Mum in her hour of need, and Ruby never met her. Nope, I am not happy about any of that.
"Demetri, this is a break we all need. I am with you on some of it, but if you think Cora and I are going to spend all our waking hours with you, you're dreaming. Cora and I want some us time too." Xavier argued back, and I was glad he was on the same page as me.
"I thought the two of you wanted to spend time with us." Ruby countered, putting on a sad face; for a moment, she thought she'd use tears to get her way. What's wrong with this woman? S
