Cora POV Hearing Gunner's voice made me jump. I looked at him, then at the balcony door, and realised how he got in. I thought it was locked, but I guess it's not that safe. I'm not happy about that. Maybe talk about that easy access later. I'm too upset to think about that now. I listened to Gunner's explanation, and my stomach plummeted when I heard the truth. It made me feel like an i***t for doubting him. I really have let what happened in the past cloud my life. I need to get stronger and less judgmental, less sceptical, and less easily hurt. Gunner helped finish the food while I thought about what I had seen, and then, from Gunner's point of view, he was doing his job, and I was judging it as something else.
