The members were giving me a stick. I had said for years that I would never settle down, and now I am claiming a woman as mine.
They called me p***y whipped, apron strings, under the thumb, any name they could think of, to rib me about taking a woman and having her on my lap. I didn't mind, and Cora laughed at most of them.
