Hope
By morning, I knew there was no way that Tanya was going to be okay with me leaving her and going home. All night long she’d jolt awake, then begin crying. I held her, let her know she was safe, and let Qadira rumble her deep purr until she calmed down enough to fall back to sleep.
In the morning, we were both exhausted, mentally and physically, but I knew she needed to get home, back to the safety of familiar surroundings.
After ordering breakfast and saying good morning to her father who looks as exhausted as we do, I leave her with Levi and go find Alpha Liam. I let him know that Tanya needs me and I intend to stay with her for now.
