It took us a few extra minutes to get back to the room. Cutter couldn't stand or walk on his own. The closer we got to the room, the clumsier he became.
"God, you're so damn heavy," I complained as I maneuvered Cutter around so that I could open the door.
I'd just twisted the knob when I heard her voice from down the hall.
"Cutter? You around?" Ruby called out. "I thought maybe we could talk. Maybe I could apologize for last time."
Last time? Does she mean when they made out in front of me? Why would she apologize about that? Maybe there was a different last time?
