Then he was on his feet, running after her.
"Do you feel better now, Cutter?" Tats asked, less angry, but not enough. "Get everything you wanted?"
"Of course he did!" Ruby said, pressing herself closer to me.
"No," I mumbled as I grabbed her arms.
I stood up, almost knocking Ruby to the ground. She complained as I pushed her aside, but I ignored her. I went after Ice and Sorsha, telling myself that none of this was a big deal. It was fine. Sorsha would get over it after I explained myself.
I found them in the hall. Sorsha had just turned around to face Ice when she saw me. Whatever words she had died on her lips. She glared at me as a few tears fell from her eyes.
