I kept my eyes on Kaizen, watching him watch me with a look of amused interest. I love that he's excited to see what I'll do next. He never makes me feel like I'm too much or not enough. He makes me feel like a damn queen. Like he adores every single part of me. Even the parts most people hate.
And it feels so amazing.
"Hello Bimba, how are you!?" Gio's overly enthusiastic voice floated through the phone. I had it on speaker so that Kai could hear everything.
"I'm doing wonderful Zio, and you?"
"Fantastic, my dear! I miss you so much. I'm sorry I haven't been to see you since you were released. I was wondering if we could plan something? Dinner perhaps?"
"Just the two of us?" I asked.
