I stood up as soon as the door opened. Baffle came in, his eyes going straight to the bed. When he didn't find me there, he quickly scanned the room. His shoulders visibly relaxed when he saw me standing near the bathroom door.
"Good morning," I said with a bright smile.
Baffle's eyes raked down my body as he slammed the door shut. And I do mean slammed. Which was very unlike him. So unlike him that it made me jump and tense up.
"Morning," he grumbled, looking away as he stepped further into the room.
Uh, okay?
"You okay-"
"Why are you still here?" he asked, cutting me off.
I flushed a little at the tone he was using. He sounded angry and annoyed. I just wasn't sure if he was angry with me or if something happened during his talk with War.
