"You requested my presence, Prez," I said as I walked into War's office. My tone was light and teasing. Whip's head snapped up, giving me a strange look. Probably because I never joke around. I'm always the serious one.
"You're strangely chipper today," Whip commented.
"It's a good day," I replied, not a care in the world. Not after I just had my sunshine's lips on mine. God, the way she was already moaning for me.
"Is it now?" Whip asked skeptically.
"Sure is. The sun is finally shining on me again."
Naddy is so close after all these years. I finally have her again, even if it's just a small piece. Whip probably suspected that my attitude change was because of Nadine. Thankfully, War didn't seem to question it.
