Kael’s POV
Once we completed the agreement with Billy, Sienna hurried to pay the people who would transport the horses to our farm. Billy decided to give us four horses instead of two. He believed we would care for them well. I wanted to refuse because four horses were a major responsibility, but turning down the generous offer would have been rude. I was grateful Darius and Nolan were moving in. Without them, much of the work would fall on me.
“Let’s go home,” Sienna said hurriedly.
I knew exactly why she wanted to leave, but I chose to tease her.
“Let us wait until the horses have been loaded for transport, Cassy,” I replied.
She stared at me as if she wanted to kill me. I was serious about waiting, but Sienna clearly had other plans.
