I still could not believe my friends were living with us. When Kael first told me they were moving to the farm, I was saddened by the reason. Darius and Nolan had been forced to walk away from Silverlake because Alpha Edmund was willing to risk the pack in a fight they could not win. Still, I was happy they chose to come to us. They could have gone anywhere, especially with Darius’s money and connections, but they chose our home. It proved that what we had built together was more than friendship. We had become a family.
