“Are you okay?” Wade asked, clutching both my shoulders with his eyebrows furrowing.
I nodded to assure him in response.
He let out a deep sigh, looking back at Iris who just walked away before facing me again. “I need to go after Iris and settle this.”
Without waiting for me to say a thing Wade turned away and I watched his back vanish from my sight.
The fact that he defended and stood for me against Iris, I should feel happy and thankful for him. But rather, I feel otherwise.
Being left alone only reminds me that whatever happens, he’s still going to end up with Iris and I will be alone.
