The party ended at almost one in the morning. We got back home with Wade but he never bothered to speak even a word to me the whole time.
I thought he was just maybe tired. However, the need to thank him took over me. Plus, thanking him won’t take much longer and I’m sure I am suppose to do it now.
He was halfway reaching his room when I stopped him.
“Thank you for what you have done tonight. If it weren’t for you, Iris wouldn’t have stopped at all,” I continuously say.
Wade just looked at me with his tired eyes, not saying anything.
I pulled Evan and Zoey with me and asked them to as well as thank Wade for bringing them into the party.
