After an hour, Gwen called again.
“Boss, we are too late. Ash Firm has already made their move,” Gwen said, his voice carrying a mixture of surprise and reluctant admiration.
“The Fitzroy family’s company has gone bankrupt. Ash Firm has acquired the company’s shares at a rock-bottom price, and, um, I just got a call from them.”
“From Ash Firm? What for?” Zarelle asked, already suspecting the answer but needing to hear it confirmed.
“They are planning to give the shares to the Feymere Corp.”
Zarelle’s face contorted, revealing her displeasure at Calden’s actions, at his presumption.
She couldn’t help but let out a sigh, heavy with frustration.
He was truly merciless in his approach, ruthlessly efficient.
