Mika’s POV.
I watch as Lola walks beside me. She is doing so much better than the day I found her in her destroyed condo. She is walking with no limp. She is getting out of breath easily but she refuses to give up.
She is doing great. I can understand how frustrating it is when the average person is stuck on bedrest because they are too sore to move. But for someone like Lola, it has been torture. But she has been a great patient. Even if I could see that she was climbing the walls.
We are walking around the manicured gardens behind the clubhouse. She is breathing in the fresh air and letting the sun warm her skin. She is mesmerising to watch.
I take her hand in mine as I entwine our fingers, and we just move at her pace.
“This place is beautiful.” Lola sighs as we move to one of the
