He changed into slacks and a short-sleeved dress shirt, informed his unit he was going into Baker City with Luci and Thatcher. It shocked them all, but then they just nodded and told him to have a nice time.
He’d walked outside to find Luci with Thatcher. She was leaning on her car, had already gone and gotten it from the garage. He’d seen her drive it this morning; for the first time ever, she’d used the car he’d purchased for her and not been asked to. He’d not even known she’d been in contact with Alpha Rafe.
