After the big mess at work things started to get better slowly. Lucas left the company for a while and began his own consulting business. He worked hard every day building it up, he told me about new clients and meetings and looked happy when things went well. I stayed at my job and kept working on my projects. It felt good to know I was doing it on my own.
One evening we were having dinner at his place and he looked serious. "Sienna, I want to offer you a job at my company," he said. "You could run the marketing part. You are really good at it and we would work great together."
