I glanced at the men in front of me..at the man I had slain.
He was a beta, Tommy. He was the son of elder Jon and if word got to him about what had happened, all hell was going to break loose.
But I had much more important things to worry about than that.
The Alarm that was still blaring. It only meant that the limestone tribe had been nothing but a distraction. This must’ve been Adrian’s doing. He knew everything. He must’ve deceived us about going to black stone cliff.
Not the border horn.
“Zane,” Ronald called and I whipped my head to him. “Are you okay?” He sounded cautious, like he wasn't sure that I was fine now, or he was scared that I was going to attack him anytime.
