I stayed in Dane's arms after he told me we were going home. I had missed our house more than I realized until he said the words. Staying at the compound had made sense after everything that happened. Still, I wanted to wake up in the home we'd chosen together.
"We can leave early?"
"If you want."
"I want."
Dane smiled and pulled me closer. There wasn't much for us to take since we'd only been back at the compound for a short time. My laptop and course things were about the only things that needed to come with us.
I looked toward the bag beside the table.
"At least I can get back to studying properly."

"I can, but I'd rather do it at home."
"I figured."
