It has been years since I was last here. It feels like a lifetime ago, when I moved into this house to get away from my mother and her new family. For a human, it would be a lifetime ago. No one that knew me back then is still alive today. It has truly been that long. Now, I stand here to use it, for its original purpose, as a staging ground for our people, if we ever need to go to war.
After Orion came out of the room, we had left him in with Seraphina, I felt something. I couldn’t quite place. Every time I glanced at him, I noticed him clutching something that was tucked under his shirt. I guess it was something that Seraphina gave him, which made me wonder if I was sensing her magic or something.
