Ember’s POV-
Adora came to check on me, as I knew she would. It was something that Scarlett would have asked her to do. I knew that. That is why I laid in bed and waited for her to come and check I was asleep. As soon as she was gone, I got up and arranged my pillows, so it looked like I was still in bed. I grabbed the note that I had written and left it at my bedside. That way, when someone comes in to wake me up, they will find the note easily.
Once that was done, a wave of fear crashed over me. I knew this was a bad idea, but what else could I do? Yes, I could listen to the adults, and stay put.
