I took my time explaining what happened in the bathroom, including telling them about the gift from Seraphina. They were surprised because, despite her silence, she clearly still cared, even if it was in a small way. Cyrus and Abadrax both asked to see the book she had given me as a birthday present. Their faces, when they saw the book, could only be described as pure shock.
“So, I am sorry I worried you, but your sister saved me again, even though I was going to jump to defend myself,” I began.
“Aye, it’s okay. You don’t need to apologize for that. I will always worry about you because you are my mate. I am proud that you were about to defend yourself. You and I will go through this book later together,” Cyrus smiled at me, as he cupped my cheeks.
