It was surprising to hear that the restaurant was now owned by Lucas’s family. I was a little bit curious to hear the story behind it.
As Jamie left, I could tell she was shocked to see me in New York. She was also shocked to see that I didn’t give a f**k about her anymore.
In the past, I was nice to her even though she treated me badly. I wanted her to like me so much that I tolerated all the horrible things she did to me.
But it was different this time. I didn’t even let her get a proper conversation out of me.
“Do you think she’ll tell her brother?” Olivia asked as Jamie had returned to the counter.
I scoffed. “Of course, she’s going to tell him right away,” I replied, a confident smile spread across my face. “That’s what she’s best at doing.”
