I reached the back windows and saw movement near the trees beyond the garden. A man stood partly hidden behind one of the trunks, far enough from the house that I couldn't see his face. The second he noticed me, he turned and started moving away. I called security before going any farther.
"There's someone behind the house."
The guard who answered was already heading toward the back. "Stay inside."
"I'm watching him from here."
Amelia came up beside me, and I pointed toward the trees. The man had reached the fence that separated the estate grounds from the property behind us. Two guards appeared from opposite directions and went after him. He climbed over the fence before either of them reached him.
