I asked Daniel how he'd found her. He said Emilia's old payment records had given him another address connected to Rebecca, and from there he'd found the apartment she'd rented for the past three years. The lease was still active, but the building manager confirmed she'd removed several bags and boxes two days earlier. Nobody had seen her return since.
"Do we know where she went?"
"Not yet."
"Find out."
I ended the call and told Amelia and my mother what Daniel had found. Amelia immediately pointed out the timing. Rebecca had left her apartment around the same time we started getting closer to finding out who she was.
