Scarlett POV
My first thought was Jaxen. Who else would come knocking on my door?
I stuck my head out from under the blanket. “Jaxen Hale, if you’re going on a business trip, then go. Why are you knocking on my door and waking me up?”
A staff member’s voice came from outside. “Luna, Alpha Hale left for the airport more than half an hour ago. He told me to remind you to get up on time. He said you would be late if you stayed in bed.”
I rolled my eyes. Jaxen’s presence was ridiculously strong in my house. Usually, he woke me up and reminded me when I was about to be late.
Apparently, even when he was leaving town, he still had to arrange for someone else to do his job.
“I will not work today. You don’t need to remind me.” I said.
“Oh? Why aren’t you going to work? Should I tell Alpha?
