I rolled my eyes at my father’s words. The man was finally stable, which meant he was fine enough to nag every other second. “And it isn’t.”
“So why is it a thing to be discussed about every other day, Rafael?”
“Because it’s unconventional,” I responded easily. “And people hate unconventional. Give it time. They’ll get used to it.” He opened his mouth to speak but I didn’t let him. “Besides, the last time they talked about my relationship was like a week ago. You’re not very up to date, are you?”
He glared at me, letting me know he didn’t find any humor in my words.
