With a smile, he said, “Come on, I’ll drive you to the hospital.”
“To the hospital?” I asked, slightly confused.
His smile grew bigger. “You want to start your apprenticeship, right? Let’s go talk to Dr. Wyatt right away about getting that started.”
Cheering, I grabbed him for a hug. “Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!” I was going to do it anyway, but it was so much easier with his support and his help. I didn’t want to have to hide things from him.
“Anything to make you happy,” he said, and I hoped he meant it.
Damien’s POV
After a week or so of being home, I took Stacy into the local hospital for a check-up, but when I arrived, the healers all seemed flustered. Finally, we were given a room, and one of the higher ranking healers came in.
