Realizing that I was on my own, I began to look around me for something that I could use as a weapon, but unfortunately, this part of the garden that I had stopped in was surrounded by nothing but dying red roses.
Turning my full attention back to the massive beast closing in on me, I realized that this meeting between the two of us was different than the first one. This time, I knew behind those red glowing eyes was a man and not just some feral wild animal out to eat me for his dinner.
Knowing this, I composed myself by taking a few deep breaths, before I moved to get back to my feet. Once I was standing, I decided it was now or never to confront the beast that has haunted my dreams since the day he made his presence known to me.
